Zero‐landfill Recycling
Worldlink follows a Zero‐landfill eWaste policy, meaning that 100% of the downstream waste such as plastics, metals, glass, and hazardous chemicals are processed by appropriate downstream recycling partners. This ensures that no component of the materials we process winds up in a landfill. All Worldlink facilities and partners are required to report to and follow EPA guidelines.
Nationwide Pickup
With nearly 20 certified processing centers throughout North America, Worldlink provides the cost effective pickup services throughout North America. Most of our pickups are arranged through our local processing centers so your assets are typically transported directly from your facilities to a Worldlink certified processing facility, minimizing chances of loss or damage.
Data Security Services
Worldlink standard data erasure practices comply with Department of Defense 5220.22‐M standards, which means every hard drive received by Worldlink is erased with a three pass wiping process. Drives which are inoperable are physically destroyed. Onsite data erasure and hard drive shredding services are available to our clients upon request.
Asset Remarketing and Buy‐Back
Worldlink has a large network of buyers around the world. Worldlink tries to remarket every asset we receive to help maximize re‐use and minimize the need for de‐manufacture and true recycling. Worldlink is committed to providing our customers a truly Green solution when it comes to asset disposition services. This is achieved through our Zero‐landfill policy for eWaste and Restricted Export Policy. This means only complete, functional units and useable parts are sold overseas, and we are preventing native elements from recycled electronics from finding their way into the earth as much as possible. Many small local companies will pay you by the pound or container for your equipment. What you typically don’t know is that they are selling the electronics to overseas brokers who sell what they can, and then dump the remaining commodities into landfills and other places in under‐developed countries, such as seen on the special on 60 Minutes recently.
