POS Cabling Infrastructure
In 2005 Worldlink met a challenge for it's largest opportunity to date. May Department Stores awarded Worldlink the full infrastructure upgrade of their POS networks in over 300 stores throughout the US. To properly prepare for the project; Worldlink worked in concert with IT and store operations to perform a comprehensive site survey to determine all project requirements prior to scheduling the actual installation of the infrastructure.
Once the determination was made, Worldlink worked closely with their vendors and partners to deploy over 22,000 category 5 cable drops in approximately 6 months. To support this installation Worldlink also provided new MDF and IDF equipment while providing connectivity via fiber cable loops.
Worldlink met the challenge by utilizing a combination of their world class project management team and nationwide network of highly skilled cabling technicians.
