Deployment of Digital Signage Listening Stations

Hot topic engaged primary IT partner, Worldlink, to deploy their new Digital Listening Stations at 250 stores throughout the US. Hot Topic selected Worldlink based upon their recent successes in deploying a DSL solution to over 800 Hot Topic and Torrid stores, continuing cabling and POS setup for New Store Openings and their strong reputation in the industry.

Worldlink provided a complete turnkey solution for Hot Topic’s IT, operations and construction groups. Working with Hot Topics selected component providers, Worldlink received all equipment into their west coast staging center and provided just in time shipping to the stores. Worldlink utilized their world class project management team to confirm the receipt of equipment at each store while coordinating the installation with Hot Topic store management and Worldlink field technicians. This coordination was crucial to the success of the project since the work commenced prior to store opening.

To complete the installation of the Digital Listening Stations, Worldlink installed new electrical circuits, category 5 cabling and augmented the display areas to accept the new stations. Once the solution was in place Worldlink confirmed connectivity with Hot Topic HQ and verified the new content was received on each station.

Hot Topic Digital SignageWith the tremendous success of the 250 store installation, Hot Topic awarded Worldlink the remaining 500 stores to be deployed in early 2009.

“Working with Worldlink on our listening station rollout has been a pleasure. I am extremely happy with the service and thoroughness. I would recommend your company to others and will ensure we continue to use Worldlink on all of our future projects. I intend to be of influence in any way possible. Without your excellent customer service, we would have not had a successful rollout of our listening stations. Thank you for your warranty of workmanship and personal touch in making our project your priority.”
